Styling Thrifted Items As Decor For A Tea Party

Don’t sleep on the home sections of thrift stores! Home departments that include items like glassware, picture frames, oversized mirrors, etc. These pieces are great options to keep costs low for party decor (or home decor in general).

I took weekly trips to a few thrift stores in my area to round up items like candle holders, table settings, bud vases, and picture frames that I could use for my party decorations. Some of the items I grabbed were perfect as-is like the glass vases and ceramic pitchers, but others needed a little spray paint to fit with my garden tea party theme.

Here is everything I thrifted for my 30th birthday party and how I styled them.

Used As-Is (after a light clean):

  • Candle Holders
  • Curtain Valances
  • Ceramic Pitchers
  • Bud Vases
  • Tea Cups and Saucers

Needed A Little Extra Umph (by umph, I mean spray paint lol):

  • Metal Easel
  • Picture Frames
  • Wooden Side Table
  • Mirrors

I always opt for second hand decor whenever possible. Not only does it save on costs, but it also adds an extra touch of unique detail to the decorations!
