I set the dress code for my party as a Garden Party Cocktail. Even though it was garden party themed, everything was indoors which meant I would wear heels (yay).

I decided to go with a solid color dress, rather than a floral one given the amount of florals I had designed for the event. I mean really, the flowers were everywhere so I thought wearing a solid color dress would compliment the space well.
Garden Party Style Details

Dress (altered): House of CB Samaria Peach Parfait Twill Corset Midi Dress
If the feminine silhouette doesn’t convince you to try this timeless piece or a similar style, maybe the fact that IT HAS POCKETS will 🙂 And I mean deep pockets. I could fit my phone, tea gloves, and instax camera in them without having to worry about any contents falling out.
The body of this dress fit me like a glove. There were only a few areas that I needed to get altered to fit my proportions and that was the bust and length. I had to get the bust taken in and I had the dress hemmed up about 5 inches.
Overall the dress was constructed beautifully and I loved the weight of the fabric. I felt extremely secure in this dress. 11/10 would recommend.

Heels: Sam Edleman Leana Flower Strap Heel (Orchid Blossom)
Sam Edleman is my go-to footwear brand for shoes and sandals, so of course I turned to them for this look. The color was exactly what I was looking for to pair with my peach colored dress and the heels fit so comfortably. And I just love the floral detail on the strap!

Backup Heels: Pammie Lace Up Kitten Heel (Orchid Blossom)
I also bought a backup pair of shoes because your girl can’t stand in heels for too long (lolz). I found the sweetest pair of kitten heels in the same color and similar floral detail.
It took me several weekends of shopping in-store to find the right outfit, but it was well worth it! I love how the look came together with the party decor.
