I recently thrifted a beautiful patterned curtain set that I am flipping into a kitchen and table linen set! To kick things off, I started with an easy pot holder pattern. Here is how I created them:
Materials:
- Cotton fabric squares (10” x 10”) x 2
- Insul-Bright (10” x 10”)
- Bias tape for loop (x”)
- Bias tape for potholder edge (x”)

Steps:
- Cut your fabric and Insul-Bright to 10” x 10” squares
- Sandwich the Insul-Bright between the wrong sides of the fabrics
- Make quilting pattern (I decided to follow the grid of my fabric)
- Baste around the edges
- Trim the corners down to a rounded shape
- Create a potholder loop using bias tape
- Pin and baste the inside of the bias tape (right side down) to the pot holder
- Fold the bias tape over to the other side of the pot holder and add the loop
- Top stitch around the potholder
- Done!
I love the way these turned out and can’t wait to use them!
