For 2024, I’m challenging myself to sew 1 complete item per month and I started the year off strong by completing not one, but two projects! Granted, they are the same thing . . just in different fonts (sizes lol). I still think it counts as two projects 🙂 

I followed the tutorials for this makeup bag and this boxed zipper pouch (minus the strap) to create a complete travel set!

I used thrifted pillowcases from a resale store near me. I didn’t know what I wanted to make with the pillowcases when I first found them, but I was SO in love with the color and quilted pattern that I knew I wouldn’t have any issue finding a project that suited the fabric. For the lining, I used cotton fabric from Hobby Lobby.

I absolutely adore the way the makeup bag and zipper pouches turned out!
