In my first home gym post, I covered my weekly workout routine which touches briefly on the Tonal home gym. Today, I’m sharing how I organize the accessories for my Tonal.
It was important for me to make sure the tools are easily accessible since many programs rotate the accessories throughout the entire workout. Tonal comes with 2 handles, 1 bar, 1 rope, 1 mat, and 1 bench. I love the amount of accessories that come with the system because it allows for various workouts, buttt it can make your room look crowded or disorganized without the right type of storage.
To keep the space clean-looking, I decided to use two Ikea SKADIS Pegboards (size 30 x 22”) because it was affordable. lightweight, and pairs well with their various attachments: hooks, containers, shelves, etc.
Here’s the space before and after.

Not only do the boards provide storage for the accessories, but it also adds more detail to the space.
Here are the exact SKADIS attachments I used:
Hooks (Short) x 6
- Barbell
- Rope
- Handles
- 1lb walking weights (non-tonal workout gear)
Hooks (Long) x 4
- Foam Roller
- Mat
Shelf x 1
- For any miscellaneous items: phone, hair ties, jewelry, etc.
I’ve thought about adding an LED strip on the back to outline the pegboards and bring in more light, but I’ll save that for phase two 🙂
