My house was filled with beautiful cut flower bouquets all summer thanks to my backyard garden. Today I’m sharing some of the variety of cut flowers I was able to bring inside this summer:
- Shasta Daisies
- Daylilies
- Trumpet Lilies
- Dahlias
- Hostas
- Curcuma Siams
- Marigolds
- Roses
I moved into this house from California a little over 1 year ago. Since I was in a new gardening zone, I spent the first year watching what would grow in the garden and this second year planting a handful of perennials and native pollinator plants.

Last year was a pretty chill year and I had to give the garden only a little maintenance. This year, though, I was drowning in daisies! I felt like Hercules battling Hydra – I would cut one flower and 3 more would grow in its place. It was a beautiful problem to have. The metro Atlanta area has received a lot of rain this year and my flowers were thriving.
I’m looking forward to my summer cut flower garden next year!
